week.

Big beam in place

On Tuesday October 20, the big beam that spans the main hall was lifted into place with a crane.

Now the framing of the roof and the clerestory can be completed. The goal is to have the roof on and the building tight to the weather by the end of this week or early next week.

Work at Elm Street to connect the water line and to provide for the future connection to a Town Center septic system is underway.

More photos for October 12 - roof going on

Here are a series of photos showing the progression of the framing of the building.

As of Monday October 12, roofing is progressing on the classroom wing and should complete today.

This week the big beam that spans the length of the Fellowship Hall will arrive and be installed. This will allow the framing of the clerestory to proceed.

Installation of windows on the classroom wing will begin this week.

Delivery of trusses isn't easy

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Framing of the building continued this week. On Wednesday the first truck
load of trusses arrived. The load could not make the turn to deliver the
trusses to the job site. After some serious head scratching, a lull was
called in. The trusses were then unloaded at the parking lot near the
church and the lull moved them to the site.
